* Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with complex ASD needs? GSL Education are seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to work within a primary school in Plaistow, Newham . This rewarding role involves providing dedicated one-to-one support for a child with complex Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and high-level needs. The successful candidate must be confident managing challenging behaviours and able to support a physically active child within a structured and nurturing learning environment. Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA): * Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with complex ASD needs
* Support the child's academic, social, and emotional development
* Implement behaviour management strategies and personalised support plans
* Assist the pupil in accessing learning activities within the classroom
* Build a positive and trusting relationship with the child
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
* Support the child during periods of dysregulation and physical behaviour
* Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements: * Minimum 1 year experience supporting children with complex ASD needs
* Recent experience working within a primary school setting
* Experience supporting SEN students on a 1:1 basis
* Confidence managing physically demanding behaviours, including kicking and physical outbursts
* Calm, patient, resilient, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
