About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Foundation team as a Premier League Inspires Coordinator. 

This role will enhance the delivery of a world-class secondary school programme across the Liverpool City Region, empowering young people to realise their full potential. Working with those who are marginalised, vulnerable, or at risk of offending behaviour, the post holder will inspire positive change by developing the skills, knowledge, confidence, and mindset needed for success in education, employment, and life. Through meaningful engagement and targeted support, this role will help young people overcome barriers, build resilience, and create brighter futures.

What will you be doing?

  • Deliver a high-quality educational programme that develops young people's skills, raises aspirations, and enhances engagement in education and personal development. 
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of an innovative curriculum that aligns with the objectives of LFC foundation, partner schools, and the national curriculum.  
  • Work collaboratively with external partners to ensure curriculum content supports programme outcomes and achieves agreed key performance indicators (kpis). 
  • Support the development of curriculum pathways linked to recognised accredited qualifications, including programmes such as the king's trust and leadership skills foundation awards. 
  • Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with school leaders and staff, working in partnership to identify and support young people who would benefit most from the programme.  
  • Deliver an engaging timetable of activities that motivates and supports young people to achieve recognised qualifications and positive educational outcomes.   
  • Provide targeted one-to-one mentoring and intervention support, signposting young people to additional services where appropriate to address individual needs and barriers. 
  • Liaise regularly with school staff to gain a thorough understanding of individual students, including behaviour, attendance, wellbeing, and support plans, ensuring interventions are tailored and effective. 
  • Share learning, best practice, and innovative approaches with both school colleagues and LFC foundation staff to continuously enhance programme delivery and impact. 
  • Promote the personal and social development of young people, with a focus on improving mental health and wellbeing, encouraging positive behaviours, increasing school attendance, and raising educational attainment.  
  • Ensure full compliance with the LFC foundation safeguarding policy and procedures, always maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding practice.  
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures within each partner school, ensuring a consistent and child-centred approach to safeguarding.  
  • Embed the LFC foundation theory of change and outcome framework throughout programme delivery, supporting robust monitoring, evaluation, and impact measurement. 
  • Accurately collect, record, and report programme data in line with LFC foundation monitoring, evaluation, and reporting requirements. 
  • Maintain quality assurance standards, ensuring all programme delivery is engaging, effective, and of the highest quality. 
  • Reflect on and evaluate individual sessions and practice, identifying strengths, learning opportunities, and areas for continual improvement. 
  • Conduct and manage risk assessments across multiple school settings, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants and stakeholders 
  • Develop and strengthen partnerships across the Liverpool city region, including schools, Merseyside police, local authorities, and community organisations, to maximise opportunities and support for young people. 
  • Support wider LFC foundation programmes, projects, and events as required, contributing to the organisation's overall mission of creating positive and lasting change in the lives of young people. 

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience planning, delivering, and evaluating youth or education programmes.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable, disadvantaged, or at-risk young people.
  • Understanding of inclusive youth work practices.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum in secondary settings.
  • Understanding of youth mentoring approaches.
  • Experience building relationships with schools and external partners.
  • Ability to identify needs and signpost young people to support.
  • Commitment to Liverpool FC Foundation’s mission and values.
  • Commitment to supporting partner school priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to reflect and improve programme delivery.
  • Experience measuring impact and evaluating outcomes.
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills.
  • Level 3 qualification (or above) in Education or Youth Work.
  • Level 1 Safeguarding qualification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office.
  • Experience collecting and reporting programme data.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and support reporting.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, boundaries, and risk management.

Desirable:

  • Level 3 AET or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience delivering accredited qualifications.
  • Experience in secondary school or community settings.
  • Mental health or trauma-informed practice training.
  • Experience working with statutory services or community partners.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
