Would you like to be part of our friendly Orthopaedic Therapy Team at Kent and Canterbury Hospital working in the GIRFT accredited Elective Orthopaedic Centre? You will have the opportunity to progress both your clinical and leadership skills, working within a team that covers Day Surgery and the elective ward reviewing patients that have come in for a variety of orthopaedic surgeries post pre and post operatively. B6 Physiotherapists work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services. They are expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services provided across the health economy. Main duties of the job

- Assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning for patients. To be an integral part in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients in this clinical area.
- The development of integrated care programmes and discharge plan with the patient.
- Line management (including clinical supervision) of staff (e.g. Band 5, therapy assistants and students)
- Provide professional advice and leadership
- To actively work as a member of the multi-professional team to provide high quality therapy intervention to patients.
- Manage a caseload of patients on a daily basis including patients with complex needs and multi pathology.
- Clinicians working at this level will be expected to evaluate their outcomes, review non-responding cases either with their peers or clinical specialists and refer on as appropriate using documented clinical reasoning.
