We are currently seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and experienced Secondary English LitTeacher (with or without Humanities) to join our department. The successful candidate will have a passion for English and will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons across KS3–KS5.

Applicants with the ability to teach an additional Humanities subject (such as History, Geography, Global Perspectives, or related disciplines) are encouraged to apply.

At this time, we are only looking for candidates who already have the right to work and reside in Spain.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3–KS5, incorporating a variety of teaching methods and approaches.

• Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level English Literature and/or Language examinations.

• Where applicable, teach additional Humanities subjects across the secondary phase.

• Foster creativity, critical thinking, discussion, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Incorporate technology into teaching practices where appropriate to enhance learning experiences.

• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on their work, encouraging growth and improvement.

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and academic ambition.

• Support enrichment opportunities that promote literacy and wider engagement with English and Humanities.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Humanities, or a related field.

• PGCE in English (or related subject) with QTS.

• Right to work in Spain.

• Previous experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level English Literature

• Experience teaching Humanities would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Strong subject knowledge.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Passion for English education and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet students’ diverse learning needs.
