Principal Teacher - Outreach Support Service

Job Summary

We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

This post is based within our Education Directorate. As part of the management team of Extended Outreach, you will lead, manage and give strategic direction within an allocated area of responsibility.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity to play a key role in the Outreach Support Service, supporting schools to meet the needs of children and young people experiencing barriers to learning. The successful candidate will lead staff, foster effective partnerships, and help deliver inclusive, high-quality support that improves outcomes and wellbeing.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
