What will I be doing?

As a Restaurant Host The Royal Duchy Hotel , you will work in a fast-paced, up-scale dining environment. Weekend and evening shifts are common and requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting or moving of light objects.

● Provide outstanding customer service to all guests from arrival to depature. Assist with any special requirements, deiterary or mobility restrictions, provide information on the hotel.

● Manage reservations and seating arrangements effectively and efficiently, taking into consideration guests requirements and needs.

●Effectively manage waiting lists during peak times, ensuring guests are kept informed about their table status and wait times.

● Collaborate with the restaurant staff to create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.Work closely with the restaurant manager, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow, effective communication, and seamless guest experiences.

● Promote menu items, beverages, and additional services to guests in a courteous manner, enhancing their dining experience while boosting restaurant revenue.

● Hand cash and electronic payments accurately and following Brend Collection’s financial procedures

● Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both guests and staff members

● Previous experience in a host/hostess or front-of-house role

● Exceptional customer service skills

● Ability to handle payments

● Knowledge of the restaurant menu and hotel offering

● Exceptional organisational skills

● Ability to work well in a team

● Be self motivated and have the ability to prioritise tasks independently

● Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a restaurant environment.
