KS1 Teacher - Nottingham
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Nottingham, starting ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is committed to supporting children in Key Stage 1, helping them build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and personal development.

As a KS1 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the curriculum, ensuring that pupils consolidate their early learning while developing independence, confidence, and curiosity. You will also foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes both academic and social-emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN and EAL
Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and independence
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
Create a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS1 colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to planning sessions, staff meetings, and school initiatives
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1
Be confident delivering the KS1 curriculum
Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective, enthusiastic, and pupil-focused
Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
