Location: Cupar, Fife
Shifts: 08:00 - 20:00 and 20:00 - 08:00
Pay Rate: £12.71 - £13.35 per hour .

Our client is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join their growing team.

You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in a supportive and respectful environment. This position requires a caring attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist residents with daily personal care activities, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Support residents with mobility, including the use of hoists and walking aids where required.
* Serve meals and provide assistance with eating and drinking when necessary.
* Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes to senior staff or nursing colleagues.
* Encourage and support residents to participate in social and recreational activities.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
* Help ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents.
* Provide companionship and emotional support.
* Follow all safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety procedures.
* Respect residents' rights, privacy, dignity, and independence at all times.

Requirements

* Previous experience within a care setting is preferred but not essential.
* SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards a relevant qualification.
* A kind, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays where required.
* Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Attributes

* First Aid and Manual Handling training.
* Understanding of dementia care and the needs of older people.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
