Position Description

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. Our teams operate within a flexible hybrid working model, however on-site requirements vary by project, so the ability to travel as required to meet client needs is essential.

Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will design and shape end-to-end solution architectures for a mixture of legacy and modern services, for one of the largest IT estates in the UK, ensuring alignment with business goals, user needs, and technical best practice. You will work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to define cloud-first, secure, and scalable solutions, supporting implementation and ensuring architectural integrity throughout the lifecycle.

You will take ownership of architectural decisions, in line with client governance and process, while collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality outcomes in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

• Deliver end-to-end solution architectures
• Experience with both modern cloud (AWS & Azure) and legacy platforms.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Guide delivery teams to ensure architectural integrity
• Integrate across security, data, and operational requirements
• Champion secure-by-design and compliance with GDS standards
• Influence architecture governance and decision-making
• Shape pre-sales, bids, and solution strategies

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will have strong experience as a Solution Architect or in a senior technical leadership role within complex delivery environments.. You will be confident engaging stakeholders, translating business needs into robust technical solutions, and working with complex range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• You should have proven experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect
• Ability to communicate architecture to technical and non-technical audiences and bridge the gap between the two
• Strong experience of working in large scale, complex deliveries, with national visibility.
• Experience of delivery with Central Government
• Experience of Abacus and Archimate preferred
