Key Responsibilities of the Electrician
- Carrying out electrical installation works in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Cable pulling, routing, glanding, and termination activities.
- Electrical testing, inspection, and fault-finding.
- Assisting with commissioning and project completion activities.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records of completed work and test results.
- Working effectively within site teams to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
- Adhering to all Health & Safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.
- Recognised Electrical Qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- ECS/JIB Gold Card or equivalent.
- Experience in electrical installation and testing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Previous experience with cable pulling, termination, and testing activities.
- Eligible to work on Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a VIVO Card if not already held.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
- CompEx Certification.
- ATEX experience within hazardous or explosive atmospheres.
- 2391 Inspection & Testing Qualification.
- Previous experience on defence, marine, shipbuilding, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Current Security Clearance or previous MOD site experience.
- Competitive day rate of £250 - £300 per day.
