Experis are working with a client based in Watford who are looking to recruit an experienced Network & Systems Engineer into their established IT team.

This is a broad, hands-on Network Engineer role supporting a "Cisco Platform" within a "Microsoft Landscape", with a particular emphasis on strong Cisco networking experience.

The successful candidate will support a business-critical infrastructure environment and work across a mixture of on-premise and cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities:

• Support and maintain Cisco network infrastructure
• Provide 3rd line support across server and network environments
• LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi technologies, IP telephony systems, Firewalls, and systems architecture.
• Hyper-V, Microsoft 365/Azure, backup Technologies, Active Directory,
• Support Windows Server and Active Directory technologies
• Support Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
• Manage and troubleshoot Firewalls and wider network security technologies
• Support backup, recovery and core infrastructure services
• Investigate incidents and complete root-cause analysis
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, projects and continuous improvement activity
• Work closely with wider IT teams and third-party suppliers where required

What we're looking for:

• Around 5+ years' recent Network/Infrastructure Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on Cisco networking knowledge, ideally at approximately CCNP level
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory experience
• Good Firewall knowledge
• Experience working with Azure
• Broad enterprise infrastructure experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable remaining technically hands-on

A current CCNP qualification would be beneficial, although recent practical Cisco experience is more important than certification alone.
