Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and improving production machinery, equipment, and manufacturing lines.
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, automation, and process-related production issues.
- Identifying recurring equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Supporting planned and preventative maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability.
- Monitoring production line performance, including downtime, output, waste, speed, and efficiency.
- Identifying opportunities to increase production capacity and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Leading or supporting continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, reliability, quality, and cost reduction.
- Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering Teams to resolve operational problems.
- Improving machine settings, operating parameters, changeover processes, and production methods.
- Supporting the installation, commissioning, modification, and upgrading of production equipment.
- Developing and maintaining equipment documentation, maintenance procedures, operating standards, and technical records.
- Investigating production losses and perform root cause analysis.
- Ensuring engineering activities comply with health, safety, food safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Supporting operators and maintenance technicians with technical training and problem-solving.
- Working with equipment suppliers and contractors when specialist engineering support is required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous engineering experience within an FMCG, food, beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, or other high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Good understanding of automated production equipment, motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and control systems.
- Experience with preventative maintenance, fault finding, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

- Analytical and data-driven approach to production improvement.
- Ability to diagnose faults quickly and systematically.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively with production operators, technicians, managers, and external suppliers.

- Proactive approach with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
