Physics Teacher - Independent School - Colchester
A leading Independent School in Colchester is seeking a motivated and inspiring Physics Teacher for a January start. This role offers a balanced combination of academic challenge, professional trust, and genuine work-life consideration.
The Role
You will teach Physics to KS3–KS5 , supporting students through GCSE and A-Level with a curriculum that prioritises conceptual understanding, applied mathematics, and investigative laboratory work. The school fosters an environment where students are encouraged to question, hypothesise, and test ideas through structured experimentation.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Supporting Sixth Form independent research projects
Running STEM clubs or Physics societies
Involvement in university preparation programmes and competitions

Candidate Profile
Physics degree or closely related qualification
QTS or equivalent
Experience teaching Physics to A-Level
