Linisher

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Linisher to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in fabrication, mechanical knowledge, and the use of various tools and equipment.

About the role

£13.71 per hour
Monday to Friday days
08:00 – 16:00
Starting immediately

As a Linisher you will:

• Operate linishing and grinding machinery to finish metal components to the required specification.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, weld spatter, and surface imperfections from fabricated parts.
• Prepare materials for welding, painting, coating, or assembly processes.
• Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards and dimensional requirements are met.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
• Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with health and safety procedures.
• Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Work collaboratively with production, fabrication, and quality teams to meet deadlines and production targets.
