Care Assistant - Full Time

We are looking for compassionate, reliable and professional Care Assistants to join our team. As a Care Assistant you will provide person-centred care, support daily living activities and build meaningful relationships with clients to promote independence and wellbeing.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Provide safe, respectful and compassionate personal care to clients in their own homes, following agreed care plans

• Support with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, continence care and mobility assistance

• Assist with medication administration where trained and permitted, and follow medication procedures

• Prepare and support mealtimes, and assist with dietary needs and hydration

• Support clients to maintain independence, dignity and social inclusion

• Observe, report and record changes in client wellbeing, completing accurate notes and records in line with company policy

• Follow health and safety guidance, infection control procedures and safeguarding protocols at all times

• Work collaboratively with the care team, relatives and healthcare professionals to deliver joined-up care

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential; full training and induction will be provided

• Compassionate, reliable and person-centred approach to care

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to follow care plans and complete accurate records

• Willingness to undertake training and gain relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE/NVQ/Adult Care Level 2 or 3)

• Right to work in the UK

• Able to travel to client homes; a driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential

• Enhanced DBS check (we can support with application if required)
