Key Responsibilities – Teaching:

• Design and deliver engaging and informative English lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.

• Guide students in developing a strong understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis.
• Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).

Key Responsibilities – Leadership:

• Take on a leadership role within the English department, supporting and mentoring colleagues.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the English curriculum, ensuring it is aligned with current educational best practices.
• Lead departmental initiatives to improve teaching and learning within the English department.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and professional development opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses a valid QTS in English or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrates a fervent passion for the English language, a captivating teaching style, and a strong track record of raising student achievement.
• Possesses excellent leadership qualities, communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire teachers and students.
• Proven experience or a strong desire to contribute to curriculum development and departmental leadership.
• Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to diverse needs and learning styles.
• Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
