Senior Engagement Officer

Job description

As our Senior Engagement Officer, you will empower our customers to get involved by supporting and equipping them to shape the improvement of our services. You will do this through leading Customer Engagement across the organisation. You will also support and oversee our community investment activities across the neighbourhoods where we have homes, including the Shared Housing programme and Peace Plus Common Ground project.

Responsibilities

• Promote Customer Engagement within Clanmil to ensure that customers feel listened to on the issues that matter to them; supporting the Community Investment and Fundraising Manager in delivery of the Customer Engagement action plan.
• Support and develop Customer Engagement structures and initiatives that feed into the governance of Clanmil and ensure the customer voice is articulated to drive service improvement.
• Develop new initiatives and approaches for Customer Engagement to ensure that the views of customers are sought and valued, including new ways of hearing the views of less heard customers (e.g. working parents of younger children, etc).

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Degree in a relevant discipline AND at least one year’s recent experience in a housing/community development/customer engagement/customer service environment role (within the last 7 years).
• Have at least 1 years’ experience of managing staff to include the setting and monitoring of agreed objectives and performance management (within the last 3 years).
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience of building effective working relationships with stakeholders e.g. community groups, consumer bodies, public representatives and statutory agencies.
