Contract role, Central London Pertemps are recruiting for Children’s Social Workers to work within CAFCASS.
This is for the Central London area.
Family Court Adviser Role Summary
The Family Court Adviser role provides advanced social work support to children, families, and courts within family proceedings, ensuring the child�s welfare and safeguarding remain central to all decision-making. The role involves assessing risk, analysing complex cases, advising courts on child protection and welfare concerns, and working directly with children and families to achieve positive outcomes. Applicants must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and have at least three years� post-qualifying experience working with children and families. Strong assessment, communication, negotiation, case management, and IT skills are essential, alongside the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage sensitive, high-conflict situations professionally
Public Law
Cases where the Local Authority has intervened due to safeguarding concerns or risk of significant harm to a child. FCA�s act as Children�s Guardians, representing the child�s wishes and best interests throughout care proceedings.
Private Law
Cases involving disputes between parents or carers regarding child arrangements, such as contact or residence. FCA�s assess welfare concerns, provide safeguarding advice and support families to remain focused on the child�s needs. There is plenty of hybrid working available.
