Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs.Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.Develop and implement personalised learning plans, including Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment that promotes independence, confidence, and achievement.Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, parents, and external agencies to provide the best outcomes for pupils.Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, and wellbeing. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs is desirable.Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning.Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.A patient, flexible, and compassionate approach to supporting learners.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.Right to work in the UK.
