JOB PURPOSE

1.1 The Post Holder will be responsible to the Assistant District Maintenance Officer for day to day maintenance, repair works and new build construction of Flintshire housing stock and other Council-owned properties.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

6.1 Must be apprentice trained and time served and/or hold an appropriate craft qualification, minimum City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3.

6.2 Experience of assessing/inspecting plumbing works and undertaking fault finding and diagnostic work.

6.3 Experience of, and ability to use, the required portable power tools.

6.4 Experience of working as an electrician in a repair/maintenance and contracting environment.

6.5 Knowledge, and experience, of working within all Health and Safety Legislation relevant to the construction industry.

6.6 Experience of working on own initiative and within a team.

6.7 Able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.

6.8 Able to complete documentation such as works order forms and timesheets.

6.9 Knowledge of customer care and service delivery procedures.

6.10 Experience of working from ladders and heights up to 12 metres.

6.11 Willing to work overtime in order to complete work as required.

6.12 Must hold a full British Driving Licence.

Education
City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3

Experience
Apprentice Licensed, Time served.
All aspects of Domestic and Commercial plumbing works on Housing and Public Buildings in repairs and maintenance and new installation.
Assessing and inspecting, fault finding work.

Skills
Ability to use Power Tools.
Complete documentation, timesheets and work orders.
Work with ladders and heights up to 12 metres.
Customer Care skills.
Full Driving Licence.
