Job description

This post will involve the post holder will support the management and development of the Emergency Department/UCTC Reception providing administration support to Emergency Department/ UCTC Reception Team. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Support the needs of the clerical team, provide training and development support to new and existing clerical staff on all administration duties including scanning and security of patient documentation and data.
• Process patient details, this will involve booking patients on to the symphony system ensuring accurate recording of patient information.
• Manage and organise the symphony notes under data protection processes. Develop and maintain an efficient filing system, ensuring confidentiality and security of documents.
• Participate in audit requirements to ensure the quality of saved/scanned documents meet information governance and standards requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• 5 GCSE’s (Grades A-C) including English language or equivalent or higher educational standard and 1 year administrative/clerical experience OR 3 years’ administrative/clerical experience.
• Hold current full driving licence, which is valid for use in UK and have access to car on appointment.
• This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.

Desirable Skills

• Additional administrative experience over the essential criteria.
• Administrative/clerical experience in ED or UCTC Department.
