Park Green Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our long-established, successful, and highly supportive practice in South Kirkby, Pontefract. As a Personal Medical Services (PMS) practice serving approximately 11,000 patients, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a spacious, modern surgery. - Support the achievement of quality improvement and patient outcome objectives.

- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate medical care to the registered patient population.
- Deliver services in accordance with the PMS contract and support the objectives of the Primary Care Network (PCN).
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions.
- Prescribe medication in line with local and national prescribing guidance.
- Manage long-term conditions and contribute to the achievement of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) targets.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records in line with professional standards and practice policies.
- Undertake telephone triage and duty doctor sessions on a rotational basis.
- Participate in home visits and shared on-call responsibilities.
- Action clinical correspondence, test results, referrals, and prescription requests in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the equitable sharing of workload and responsibilities.
- Contribute to the delivery of quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and service development projects.
- Support the achievement of practice objectives and strategic goals.
- Lead or contribute to specific clinical areas of responsibility, including QOF and enhanced services.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines, governance frameworks, and best practice recommendations.

Experience
Essential
- Minimum of two years' experience working as a Salaried GP within UK General Practice.
- Experience of working within a primary care environment.
- Demonstrable commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
- Experience of working with the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and participating in clinical audit activities.
- Good understanding of PMS contract requirements and Primary Care Network (PCN) working.
- Experience of managing patients with complex and long-term health conditions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while maintaining autonomous clinical practice.
- Experience of medicines optimisation and prescribing management.
- Experience of participating in local commissioning or healthcare initiatives.
- Experience of service development, quality improvement, or leadership projects.
- Experience of teaching, mentoring, or supervising healthcare professionals.
- A recognised clinical special interest that could enhance services offered by the practice and PCN.
Essential
- Fully qualified General Practitioner.
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
- Inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent qualification.
- Vocational Training Certificate (VTS) or equivalent.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
- Additional qualifications, diplomas, or certifications relevant to a specialist clinical interest.
