About the School:

A welcoming school in Newbury is seeking an organised and professional School Administrator to join its busy office team.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support across the school while acting as a friendly and professional first point of contact for parents, pupils, visitors, and external organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to general enquiries.

• Monitor and respond to administrative emails.

• Welcome visitors and maintain appropriate visitor records.

• Maintain accurate pupil and staff information.

• Assist with attendance and absence administration.

• Prepare letters, forms, reports, and general correspondence.

• Update school databases and administrative systems.

• Maintain organised electronic and paper filing systems.

• Assist with meetings, appointments, events, and school activities.

• Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in administration or an office-based role.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.

• Good IT skills and confidence using administrative systems.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
