Overview

We have recently partnered with an established main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex construction projects across a variety of sectors in the Midlands and wider UK. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager with a strong M&E background to join an established project team delivering a multi-million pound construction project in Coventry.

The Role: 

Working as part of an established project team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of site activities, with a particular focus on the successful delivery of the project's M&E elements.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants and wider site team to ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Take responsibility for coordinating and overseeing M&E works and subcontractors.
• Manage M&E installation and commissioning activities in line with the project programme.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors with the wider construction team.
• Monitor progress against programme and identify any potential delays or issues.
• Ensure works are completed to the required specification and quality standards.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure a high standard of workmanship is maintained.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to across the site.
• Assist with the coordination of materials, labour and resources.

The Requirements: 

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong M&E background who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience working as a Site Manager within a main contracting environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical construction knowledge.
• Experience managing M&E subcontractors and packages.
• Experience working on projects of significant value and complexity.
• SMSTS.
• Relevant CSCS card.
• First Aid qualification.
• The ability to work effectively as part of an established project team.
