Biology Teacher - Independent School in Slough, Berkshire
We are currently recruiting a dedicated and academically strong Biology Teacher to join an established Independent School in Slough. This full-time, permanent role beginning January 2026 offers a rewarding opportunity for an early career teacher to contribute to a high-performing and well-regarded Science faculty.
The school is known for its strong academic profile, excellent behaviour, and commitment to exceptional STEM teaching. The Biology Department benefits from modern laboratories, fieldwork resources, specialist support staff, and access to high-quality scientific equipment. Students regularly progress into medicine, biological sciences, and research pathways.
You will teach Biology and general Science across KS3–KS5, delivering engaging lessons that emphasise scientific literacy, practical investigation, and inquiry-based learning. As an ECT, you will benefit from tailored mentoring, structured targets, lesson observation cycles, and a supportive working culture that values reflection and professional growth.
Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Biology or related subject
• PGCE and QTS (ECTs encouraged to apply)
• Strong grasp of practical and theoretical biology
• Enthusiasm for fostering scientific curiosity and high achievement
