The role Reporting to the partners, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and overseeing the delivery of accounts, tax and advisory services. The role Reporting to the partners, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and overseeing the delivery of accounts, tax and advisory services. Your key responsibilities as the Accounts & Tax Manager will include:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Overseeing personal and corporation tax compliance work
- Reviewing tax computations and ensuring deadlines are met
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing advice and building strong relationships
- Identifying opportunities to add value through proactive advice and support
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing guidance where required
- Supporting the development and improvement of internal processes and procedures
- Working closely with partners and senior stakeholders on client matters
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge across accounts and taxation
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
- ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
