Position: Design & Production Engineer
Location: Daventry
Salary: Circa £38,000

Design & Production Engineer required for an automotive small/medium component manufacturer based in Daventry. The ideal candidate will have worked within an engineering design and manufacturing environment and ideally have automotive industry experience. The software they are ideally looking for is Catia V5, but other cad packages will be considered.

Design & Production Engineer Position Overview

• Use of Catia V5 (surface, solid and 2D) to design exhaust systems and other automotive parts with consideration for customer cad and/or packaging data.
• Creation of CAD data and drawings for customer approval.
• Design, development, adjustment and commissioning of tools, jigs and fixtures for both Prototype and Production use and to coordinate the assembly
• Work in accordance with any Legislative or company requirements for Health Safety and Environment.
• Working as part of the wider Engineering Design Team to achieve high quality objectives within demanding timescales.

Design & Production Engineer Position Requirements

• HND/ Degree level, ideally in an engineering discipline.

• Experience of working within an engineering design and manufacturing environment
• Experience of the automotive industry, although a military vehicle background would be considered similar.
• Knowledge of TS16949 / IATF 16949 an advantage
• Knowledge of ISO14001 EMS an advantage
• Six Sigma training advantageous

Design & Production Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary- Circa £38,000 (dependent on experience)
• Working hours - Monday - Friday 8-4
• 25 days holiday + bank hols
