New Business & Risk Officer (12-month FTC)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organisation within Guernsey’s banking sector, supporting new business onboarding activities while ensuring risk and compliance requirements are met.

What you’ll do

• Support the onboarding of new clients and business relationships.
• Assist with customer due diligence, KYC and AML reviews.
• Conduct risk assessments and help maintain effective risk controls.
• Review documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to progress onboarding and risk-related matters.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all information is up to date.
• Support ongoing monitoring and remediation activities where required.

What you’ll need

• Previous experience within banking, financial services, compliance, risk, onboarding, or a similar regulated environment.
• Understanding of KYC, AML, customer due diligence, or risk management processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review information accurately.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders.
• A proactive and professional approach, with the ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to contribute to a collaborative working environment.
