Experienced Lettings Negotiator – Derbyshire
Salary: £25k – £27k Location: Derbyshire Hours: Full time
The Opportunity
A well‑established, professional Estate & Lettings Agency in Derbyshire is seeking an Experienced Lettings Negotiator to join their busy, friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, delivers exceptional customer service, and enjoys building strong relationships with landlords and tenants.
Alongside core lettings duties, you’ll also support the Property Management team from time to time — offering variety and a broader skill set within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Registering applicants and matching them to suitable rental properties
Conducting viewings and providing clear, timely feedback to landlords
Negotiating lets and agreeing terms to achieve the best outcome for all parties
Progressing applications through referencing, compliance and move‑in stages
Supporting Property Management when required, including:
Handling maintenance queries
Liaising with contractors
Assisting with routine inspections
Helping with tenancy renewals
Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants and local partners
Generating new business opportunities and promoting additional services
Maintaining accurate records and supporting day‑to‑day office operations
About You
Proven experience as a Lettings Negotiator within estate agency
Confident communicator with excellent customer‑service skills
Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
Positive, proactive and able to work well as part of a team
Experience or interest in Property Management is a bonus
Full UK driving licence
