Responsibilities of the Year 2 Teacher:

• As a Year 2 Teacher , you will be responsible for the pastoral care and academic progress of your class, creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Teaching the Key Stage 1 curriculum to Year 2 pupils, focusing on each child’s individual learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and supporting their areas for growth.
• Developing foundational skills in literacy and numeracy through well-structured and differentiated lessons as a Year 2 Teacher .
• Promoting social and emotional development, fostering confidence, teamwork, and a love of learning in your Year 2 classroom.
• Monitoring pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback, and communicating with parents regarding their child’s achievements as a Year 2 Teacher .
