Our client is seeking a capable and detail-focused School Finance Officer to join the finance team of a respected school in Reading.

The successful candidate will support the effective financial management of the school, assisting with day-to-day financial administration, processing transactions, maintaining accurate records and supporting budget monitoring.

This is a varied position requiring excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach. You will work closely with members of the school's leadership and administrative teams and will be expected to ensure that financial information is accurate, up to date and handled confidentially.

The role would suit someone with previous experience in finance administration, accounts or a school finance environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with figures and financial records and should have strong IT skills.

Experience of school finance systems would be advantageous, although applicants with relevant commercial finance or administration experience may also be considered.

• Confident using Microsoft Excel and other office-based software.
