Monarch Education is supporting welcoming and supportive Primary Schools in Abingdon who are seeking dedicated practitioners to provide high‑quality KS1 cover across Year 1 and Year 2.

What’s on offer?

• £150 per day minimum , with higher rates paid to scale for roles with additional responsibilities

About the Role

You will be:

• Delivering engaging lessons across KS1 (Year 1 & Year 2)
• Supporting pupils’ learning and development in line with school expectations
• Creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment
• Following school policies and classroom routines
• Providing consistency and stability for pupils during staff absences

Schools are looking for flexible, enthusiastic educators who can quickly build rapport and maintain high standards of teaching and behaviour.

What you’ll need

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
• Strong classroom management and KS1 curriculum knowledge
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• A passion for helping young learners thrive

Location

Roles are based in Abingdon and the surrounding area. We prioritise placing you in your local schools to keep commutes short and manageable.
