We are seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to lead our highly successful one-bed Learning Disabilities children’s home, proudly rated Outstanding by Ofsted. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a small, therapeutic, high-stability provision where quality, consistency and meaningful outcomes truly matter.

About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the full operational, regulatory and developmental leadership of a single-occupancy home supporting a young person with learning disabilities, ASD, communication needs and associated behaviours. You will drive excellence in care, compliance, culture and staff development while maintaining the Outstanding standards already in place.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the home in line with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted expectations.

- Ensure the young person receives high-quality, personalised, therapeutic support tailored to their needs and goals.

- Oversee care planning, PBS strategies, safeguarding, audits and regulatory reporting (incl. Reg 44/45).

- Recruit, mentor and develop a small, stable staff team with a strong professional culture.

- Manage rotas, budgets, training, governance and continuous improvement.

- Build and maintain effective partnerships with families, social workers, therapists and all external professionals.

- Sustain and enhance the home’s Outstanding rating through consistent best practice.

About You

- Experienced Deputy or Registered Manager within children’s residential LD/ASD services.

- Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, communication support and safeguarding.

- Confident leader who excels in a small-service, high-autonomy environment.

- Skilled in compliance, audits, behaviour support and team development.

- Passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for young people with complex needs.
