Maths specialist SEND

Not every pupil connects with maths in the same way. In a SEND school, it takes patience, creativity and a different approach to help things click, and that’s exactly what makes this role so rewarding. We’re looking for a Maths Specialist to support pupils with additional needs, helping break down barriers and build confidence in a subject that can often feel overwhelming. What this role is all about: You’ll be working with pupils who need extra support to access maths, often in smaller groups or 1:1. This role sits within a SEND setting, where pupils may have a range of needs including ASD, ADHD and SEMH. At times, this can include behaviour that is challenging, so resilience, consistency and a calm approach are key. You’re not just teaching maths. You’re helping pupils believe they can do it.
