ESL Jobs in Beijing

Our International Kindergarten is now recruiting positive, patient and energetic English teachers for our modern school in the capital city of Beijing as well as our center in Nantong in Jiangsu province. Our teachers work with students aged from 3 to 6 years old, while instructing in small class sizes, allowing our teachers to better understand individual children’s needs.

Beijing – The City

Beijing, capital of the People’s Republic of China, is the nation’s political, economic, cultural, educational and international trade and communication center. Located in northern China, close to the port city of Tianjin and partially surrounded by Hebei province, Beijing continues to be an exciting place for all things music, fashion and art with plenty of events and shows to attend.
There is a thriving expat community in Beijing, with the Sanlitun area being a popular destination for both expats and trendy locals to mix and mingle over drinks. One of the most important landmarks in the city is Tiananmen Square. This is the world’s largest public square and a must see for all visitors from abroad and from other places in China.

Main Responsibilities

-Contract Length: 12 months
-Schedule: Monday to Friday day time, with weekends off
-Teaching hours: no more than 16 hours per week, 30 minutes each lesson
-Working hours: no more than 40 hours total per week
-Students: aged from 3-6 (each class has 1 bilingual teaching assistant + 1 life teacher)
-Classroom fully equipped with computer, projector, whiteboard, and microphone
-Curriculum and teaching materials provided

Compensation

-Excellent monthly salary: 16,000 – 31,000 RMB depending on teaching experience and qualifications
-Plus 4,000 RMB housing allowance per month
-Up to 8,000 RMB flight allowance, reimbursed upon completion of the contract
-Legal work permit and visa support

-Paid Chinese holidays 11 days + 5 days annual leave + 1 day paid sick leave each month

Requirements

-Native English speaker
-Bachelor degree or above
Plus at least one out of three:
1) Teaching related degree (majored in English, Education, English Literature, Creative Writing etc.)
OR
2) 2 years teaching experience (with original reference letter from current/former employers)
OR
3) Teaching certificate holder: TEFL/TESOL (at least 120 hrs), CELTA, DELTA, State teaching license, PGCE, QTS
