Job Description Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Dunstable Package: £35,000-£40,000, Flexible Hours, Auto Enrolment to pension, 28 days holiday Working Hours: Full time or Part Time. Open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm \n A new opportunity has arisen within a small but growing Accountancy Practice in Dunstable. This innovative practice are seeking a Senior Accountant, to work under the directors, ensuring efficient portfolio management, and to help push the practice forward \n In this role, you should be an all-rounder handling accounts prep, tax returns, reviewing accounts, and more. The practice hold a fast-paced and energetic environment, that would suit an ambitious accountant seeking a new challenge \n Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities \n \n Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact and building strong working relationships. \n Prepare year-end accounts and statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. \n Prepare and review personal, partnership and corporation tax returns. \n Complete VAT returns, bookkeeping and bank reconciliations where required. \n Handle accounts production from initial bookkeeping through to finalisation and submission. \n Provide clients with general accounting, tax and business advice. \n Liaise directly with HMRC and Companies House where required. \n Review work completed by junior members of the team and provide guidance and support. \n Identify tax planning opportunities and areas where clients could improve their financial position. \n Assist with management accounts, cash-flow forecasts and other ad-hoc financial reporting. \n Ensure all client work is completed accurately and within relevant deadlines. \n Assist with the onboarding of new clients and maintain accurate client records. \n Support the wider practice with ad-hoc projects and assignments as required. \n \n Senior Accountant Job Requirements \n \n ACA or ACCA or CIMA qualifications are beneficial.
