Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Independent Prep School – Richmond upon Thames
Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading targeted small group interventions to strengthen understanding and build confidence
• Delivering focused Maths and English support sessions to boost pupil attainment
• Working across Year 4 to Year 7, supporting pupils through key stages of their learning
• Working collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver effective learning support
• Supporting assessment activities and contributing to tracking pupil progress

The school is looking for an HLTA who:
• Has strong experience working in a primary school as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
• Is confident delivering academic interventions, particularly in Maths and English
• Has experience supporting pupils across KS2 and into lower KS3 (Year 4–Year 7)
• Is proactive, organised, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Holds HLTA status or has equivalent relevant experience
