Salary: Up to £33,000, depending on experience, plus benefits
Hours per week: 37.5 (on a rota basis, Monday – Saturday)
Location: Wednesfield, Wolverhampton
We're looking for a proactive, people-focused and operationally driven Warehouse Team Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role responsible for leading and motivating the warehouse team to ensure the safe, efficient and accurate receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. Reporting into our Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, quality, service and compliance standards are consistently achieved.
As a Team Manager, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence through effective team leadership, performance management and continuous improvement. You'll be responsible for creating a positive, high-performing culture, ensuring colleagues are engaged, developed and equipped to deliver outstanding results while maintaining full compliance with health and safety requirements and company policies.
Working closely with teams across the business, you'll also help ensure inventory accuracy, operational efficiency and exceptional customer service. What you'll do:
- Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team to deliver high levels of performance, engagement and accountability
- Oversee the safe, efficient and accurate receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure productivity, quality and service targets are consistently achieved
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies and operational procedures
- Monitor and manage team performance, providing coaching, feedback and development support where required
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity and service delivery
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through effective stock control and warehouse management practices
- Allocate resources and workloads effectively to meet changing business demands and priorities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to support operational objectives and deliver excellent customer service
- Promote a positive, high-performance culture that supports employee wellbeing, teamwork and business success
- Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions to minimise errors and improve processes
- Support recruitment, training and onboarding activities to build and maintain a skilled warehouse team
Who you are:
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing warehouse KPIs and performance targets
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Competency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications
- Forklift licence (or willing to work towards securing licence)
- Experience within a fast-paced distribution, logistics, or e-commerce environment
- Experience leading process/continuous improvement initiatives
