They will carry out duties and support with enrichment activities and extracurricular. When there is not a requirement to cover lessons or duties, the post-holder will provide administrative support under the direction of the Office Manager.
Who are we?
King’s School is a Church of England school within the Diocese of Chichester. The school opened its doors to its first cohort of students in September 2013 and there are currently over 900 students in years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 with a team of over 100 teachers and support staff. In September 2019 the school moved to its new, purpose-built site in Hangleton. This was the culmination of six years of hard work and planning and marked the beginning of an exciting new stage in the school’s development.
Our aim is to provide a high-quality education in a caring Christian environment in which every student is known and cared for. We are committed to outstanding academic performance and to fostering a love of learning. Our work and relationships are based upon the four core Christian values of Love, Forgiveness, Respect and Responsibility and through these we encourage and support every student and member of staff to be the best that they can be.
What do others say about us?
The school received its third Ofsted inspection in March 2022 (Section 5 inspection) and retained its rating of good overall with outstanding features. The inspector noted that pupils “are proud to be part of the school community” and that “the school’s provision for their education and welfare makes a significant contribution to their lives”.
Our most recent staff survey (2023) found that staff feel supported and valued. In particular, staff fed back positively on:
- Student motivation and behaviour.
- Organisation of the school and internal communications.
- The rewarding interactions they have with students every day in the classrooms and around the site.
- Friendly, professional and supportive colleagues.
Why join King’s School?
- Enthusiastic, committed and supportive staff team;
- Range of opportunities for professional development in school and cross Trust;
- Exciting opportunities in school development;
- Excellent support through our sponsor- The Russell Education Trust;
- Close proximity to the vibrant city of Brighton.
The closing date for applications is 9.00am on Friday 26th June 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview on Tuesday 7th July 2026.
