About The Organisation

The Population Health and Wellbeing Directorate of PHS is seeking to appoint 1 full-time Project Manager on a permanent basis. .
The Post
The project manager will be based in the Population Health Harms portfolio within the Smoking, Vaping and Gambling Harm team. The post will focus exclusively on the PHS gambling harm work programme funded through the gambling levy.
The Candidate
The candidate will have extensive experience in project and/or programme management. Experience of working in the public sector would be desirable. They will have excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills including proven ability to negotiate at senior level and across sectors. The candidate will be expected to work autonomously.
The candidate will lead and support the development of a work programme on the prevention and reduction of gambling harm across Directorates within PHS including a range of specialisms.

Location and Working Pattern
These posts will be based in our offices at either Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Bothwell Street, Glasgow.
We are currently hybrid working; therefore, you will be expected to spend time in both PHS offices as well as the option to work at home.
The work pattern is Monday to Friday 36 hours per week.
PHS is a flexible employer, and we are happy to discuss requests for alternative working patterns
During times of public health emergency, or other urgent business need, you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, in order to meet the needs of the service.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with PHS.
