1 role - Waking Nights - Residential Children's Worker Role, Full Time, working a 5:2 rolling 2 weeks shift system

Days - Contract 40hrs plus overtime if required

Nights - Contract 35-37.5hr plus overtime if required.

Your Role

• Build positive, respectful relationships with children and young people.
• Support care plans, development goals, and emotional well-being.
• Promote safeguarding, routines, and behavioural boundaries.
• Engage young people in education, recreation, and daily life skills.
• Act as a key worker and lead shifts where appropriate.
• Maintain records and liaise with families and external professionals.

  Salary Subject to Experience/Qualifications - overtime available

About The Role

What we are looking for

Essential:

• Ability to build positive relationships with young people and colleagues.
• Ability to complete sleep ins when on day shifts.
• Resilience, adaptability, and calmness under pressure.
• Inclusive, rights-based approach to care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office (or willing to learn).
• Positive role model with integrity and professionalism.
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and sleep-ins.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Commitment to ongoing development.

Desirable:

• Experience working with children or vulnerable people.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of child development, trauma, and safeguarding.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks.

• Commitment to complete a Level 3 in Residential Childcare
• Ability to commit to shift system which covers all days of the week
• Ability to commit to sleep-in when working days

Desired Criteria

• Level 3 in Residential Childcare, or equivalent qualification
• Professional Experience working in Children settings ageed 8+

Salary

£13.85 - £14.84 per hour
