About Sage Homes
Set up in 2017 and funded by Blackstone and Regis to help address the housing crisis in the UK, Sage Homes has now delivered more than 21,000 homes all of which are affordable. A further 2,500 new homes are in our construction pipeline.
Sage is proud to be England's largest provider of newly built affordable homes for five successive years, providing our customers with high-quality, energy efficient properties (98% of Sage homes are EPC A or B) to live in safe, secure and thriving communities.
At Sage Homes, we remain committed to our mission of making new homes affordable for those who need them most, while delivering great customer support.
About the role
We are looking for a Nominations Officer to join our Lettings Team and support the delivery of our lettings and nominations activity. This is a highly operational, customer-focused role where you will help ensure homes are allocated accurately, compliantly, and in a timely manner.
You will be responsible for advertising homes, requesting and processing Local Authority nominations, and supporting the allocation and sign-up of both new build and re-let homes, including mutual exchanges. You will also play a key role in working with colleagues, Local Authority partners, and viewing agents to provide a smooth and positive experience for applicants and residents. You will also support interview activity and resident engagement where required, ensuring flexibility to meet business needs.
The role is based in our Northampton office with hybrid working of three days per week in the office and two days from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the advertising of new build and re-let homes via Local Authority nomination routes and Choice Based Lettings (CBL) systems
- Request and manage nominations using agreed processes, ensuring a high level of accuracy
- Assist with shortlisting applicants in line with lettings criteria
- Act as a point of contact for applicants and Local Authority partners, responding to routine queries
- Support interviews with applicants where required
- Gather information to support affordability assessments and tenancy sign-ups
- Prepare tenancy documentation under guidance from senior colleagues
- Coordinate property viewings, sign-ups, and mutual exchanges
- Monitor re-lets and void properties, liaising with viewing agents to track progress
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on CRM and housing systems
- Ensure all processes follow internal policies, procedures, and data protection requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement and support digital ways of working
About you
We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
Essential Experience
- Experience within a housing organisation, Registered Provider, Local Authority, or private rented sector
- Or transferable experience in a customer-facing or administrative role
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to learn Local Authority nomination processes and CBL systems
- Confident using IT systems and databases
We are committed to ensuring you have the best career here at Sage. As well as regular support and guidance from your manager you can expect to receive a variety of learning and development opportunities to support you as you grow within our business. This includes internally and externally delivered development programmes and opportunities to study for professional accreditations and qualifications.
