About the Role

As Hims & Hers grows internationally, the complexity of our business, organisation and leadership needs is growing with it. We’re looking for a Director of People Partnering, EMEA to help build the leadership and talent, and strengthen the organisation, for what comes next.

In this role, you’ll work with senior leaders on the critical people and organisational decisions needed to drive the next phase of our international growth.

You’ll start with the business problem, bring an independent point of view, and help leaders translate business strategy into the organisation, leadership and talent decisions required to support growth and performance. You’ll shape strategy with senior leaders while staying close enough to the business to turn decisions into action.

What you'll be doing

Leading and developing a high-performing People Partnering team

• Lead, coach and develop a team of People Partners and People Advisers, building the capability and judgment needed to support an increasingly complex business.
• Set the standard for what excellent People Partnering looks like, building a team that is commercially sharp, exercises strong judgment and is trusted by the business.
• Create clarity around roles, priorities and ownership across the team, focusing support where it can have the greatest impact as the business grows and evolves.
• Bring senior-level judgment to complex and sensitive people matters within the team’s client groups, working with Employment Legal and local experts where needed.

Driving business strategy through people

• Work directly with senior leaders to understand their priorities and determine what they mean for the organisation, leadership and talent.
• Develop a deep understanding of the business — what drives growth, where the organisation is getting in its own way, and where changes to structure, talent or leadership will have the greatest impact.
• Lead organisational design and workforce planning, helping leaders make clear, data-informed decisions about structure, roles, capabilities, spans and layers as the business grows and evolves.
• Bring regional business and talent needs into the global People agenda, while helping translate global priorities into approaches that work effectively across local markets.

Strengthening leadership and talent

• Coach senior leaders to strengthen their effectiveness and that of their leadership teams, bringing an independent point of view when it matters.
• Build leadership capability by helping leaders set a high bar, give clear feedback, manage performance, make strong talent decisions and build increasingly effective teams.
• Raise the bar on talent — identifying and developing critical talent, addressing performance gaps, strengthening succession, and ensuring we have the leadership and capabilities the business needs as it grows.
• Help senior leaders navigate periods of significant change, bringing clarity to complex organisational and talent decisions and anticipating the downstream impact on teams, leaders and the business.

Shaping the People Partnering agenda

• Set the direction and priorities for People Partnering across the region, focusing the team on the highest-impact business, organisation and talent needs.
• Use people data, business context and what you’re hearing across the organisation to identify patterns, anticipate risks, surface opportunities leaders may not yet see, and turn those insights into action.
• Work across the broader People team to solve business problems end to end, bringing together the right expertise across People Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and People Operations.
• Make thoughtful tradeoffs about where the People Partnering team focuses, balancing immediate business needs with longer-term organisation and talent priorities.

About You

What we're looking for

• Deep experience operating as a senior People Partner or HRBP in complex, high-growth environments.
• A track record of working directly with senior executives and influencing important decisions about organisation, leadership, workforce and talent.
• Demonstrated success leading organisation design, workforce planning, leadership development, talent strategy and meaningful organisational change.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand business priorities and translate complex challenges into practical organisation and talent solutions.
• The credibility and confidence to bring an independent point of view, challenge assumptions and influence senior leaders when it matters.
• Experience leading and developing People Partnering or HR advisory teams, setting a high bar and building strong, independent partners to the business.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience operating across multiple jurisdictions, with the judgment to navigate complex employee matters and know when to engage Employment Legal or local expertise.
• A demonstrated ability to anticipate organisational issues, connect patterns across the business and proactively solve problems before they slow the organisation down.
• A builder’s mindset, with a track record of creating scalable approaches that improve how organisations operate as they grow and evolve.
• The ability to move seamlessly between long-term strategy and hands-on execution — comfortable going deep when the situation requires it and moving quickly when it doesn’t.
