Job DescriptionPrincipal EngineerWe're looking for civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineers to join our team in various locations around the UK.Locations: Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth - agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desiredHours: 40 hours per week - flexibility on hours available if desiredSalary: Starting from £60k per annumSector: Working across all sectors of the built environmentJoin us as a Principal Engineer and become part of one of the UK's leaders in temporary works design and management and construction-related technical services. As part of our 100-strong team, you'll get to work on hundreds of projects across one of the most diverse and high-profile portfolios in the country, with access to Kier's £11bn+ project pipeline - supporting complex construction and major infrastructure schemes from concept through to delivery.Are you..., for compliance and buildability, supporting tenders and preconstruction planning, and providing technical support to overcome construction-stage and post-construction issues and defects.Main responsibilities Acting as Project Lead for multiple complex projects, managing technical scope, programme, budget and relationships with preconstruction and construction teams, from bid through to delivery Producing, checking and reviewing design outputs such as calculations, sketches, drawings, 3D models, reports and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with CDM, SHE procedures and QA processes Developing yourself, other individuals and the wider team, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and systems, enabling the business to adapt to current and future challenges.Rewards and benefitsWe're proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs. Practically-minded, with a strong grounding in civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineering principles and knowledge of applicable design standards? A Chartered Engineer (CEng) or of equivalent experience?Do you...
