Engineering Purchasing Specialist Responsibilities
This position will involve, but will not be limited to:
- Managing the procurement of mechanical components, composites, or marine parts to support production needs and business goals.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate sourcing and quality standards.
- Negotiating prices, lead times, and contractual terms to achieve optimal value.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering and production to align procurement strategies.
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving supply chain issues promptly.
- Using ERP systems, preferably SAP, to manage purchase orders, tracking, and inventory data.

Engineering Purchasing Specialist Experience Essentials
- Proven experience in procurement within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
