About this opportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Midlands team (to be based from either Birmingham or Nottingham), leading the delivery of high-profile projects and programmes within the Industrial, Manufacturing, and Logistics sectors. You will play a key role in driving successful outcomes for our clients, providing leadership from project inception through to completion. Candidates should bring significant experience within these sectors, alongside strong programme management, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery expertise.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectivesPositively engaging with customers and developing, growing and maintaining customer relationshipsDelivering high quality services and deliverables ensuring that services meet our Customer’s requirements. Managing projects and/or programmes to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business proceduresAdministering contracts as a contract administrator, employer’s agent or project managerProducing and presenting to customersMentoring and coaching employees so that they realise their full potentialPreparing bids for services.Managing service delivery for profitAdvising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insuranceAs a Gleeds team member, you will have access to:Opportunities to develop and grow your career A contributory pension schemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFlexible working arrangementsWho we’re looking for:Experience, Knowledge and Key SkillsSound project management and/or programme management experience post qualification.Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniquesAbility to administer construction contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent and/or Project ManagerClear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skillsSound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to work as part of a team and manage teams.QualificationsMRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) orMAPM (Member of the Association of Project Managers) orMCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders)AboutusGleedsis a global property and construction consultancy with over 150 years ofexpertise, operating in 28 countries worldwide.
