Working hours: 08:15 - 15:30

About the role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with additional needs across KS3 and KS4. You will work both in the classroom and in small group or 1:1 settings, helping students to access the curriculum and make strong academic and personal progress.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support students with a range of needs (eg ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties)
- Build positive relationships with students to support engagement and behaviour
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and SENCO
- Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements -
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
The ideal candidate would have:
- A recent degree (Psychology, Education or related field preferred)
- Experience working in a school or similar setting
- Strong interest in SEN and inclusive education
- Patience, empathy and resilience
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed
