We are seeking a motivated Technical Architect or Architectural Technologist to join our London and Epsom Studios, supporting the technical design and delivery of projects within a multidisciplinary environment. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, technically focused individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality, coordinated and buildable solutions. You will work closely with Architects, Engineers and specialists to develop designs from concept through detailed design and into construction, ensuring compliance, coordination and technical excellence throughout. As part of our Buildings & Places team, you will contribute to the technical delivery of projects across a wide range of sectors including education, regeneration, commercial, transport, residential, energy, defence, heritage and urban redevelopment. Your Role
- Deliver robust, coordinated and compliant technical design solutions in support of the architectural design intent.
- Develop detailed design information across RIBA Stages 2-4, with involvement in construction-stage technical support where required.
- Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams to resolve technical interfaces, coordination issues and clashes.
- Support project teams in ensuring designs comply with UK Building Regulations, standards and performance requirements.
- Produce and review detailed drawings, schedules and technical information to a high standard of accuracy and quality.
- Assist in the preparation and management of specifications, including material selection and performance criteria.
- Liaise with contractors, specialist subcontractors and suppliers to respond to technical queries and support buildability.
- Contribute to BIM delivery, model coordination and information management in line with project and studio standards.
- Support junior team members with technical development and information delivery where appropriate.
- Engage positively with project teams to help deliver projects safely, efficiently and to programme.
- Chartered Member of CIAT (or working towards), or an ARB registered Architect with a strong technical focus and demonstrable experience delivering complex projects.
- Strong understanding of the architectural design and technical delivery process, with experience translating design concepts into detailed, buildable solutions.
- Proven experience working within multi-disciplinary teams across a range of sectors and project scales.
- Sound technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations, building systems, construction types and compliance requirements.
- High level of competence in Revit, with experience delivering BIM Level 2 projects, model coordination, clash detection and federated models.
- Experience using collaboration and coordination tools such as Navisworks and specification platforms including NBS.
- Ability to take responsibility for defined technical packages or workstreams, with an awareness of project budgets and programmes.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, consultants and contractors.
- A proactive, flexible and "can-do" approach, demonstrating commitment, professionalism and a strong team ethic.
