Year 6 Primary Teacher
- Location: Coventry, CV2
- Daily Pay: £169-£262 per day (dependent on experience)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time (Term Time Only)
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Easter Break 2027
- Contract: Long-Term, Fixed-Term Assignment
Long Term Futures are recruiting an experienced Year 6 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary academy in Coventry, CV2.
The school is seeking a confident and capable teacher to support its core curriculum offer in the lead-up to Year 6 SATs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Year 6 teaching team to deliver high-quality lessons, strengthen pupils' knowledge and understanding, and help prepare them for their end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with strong Year 6 experience who can make an immediate contribution to teaching and learning.
The Role- Deliver engaging and effective teaching across the Year 6 curriculum
- Support the school's core curriculum offer, particularly English and Maths
- Help pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required for KS2 SATs
- Identify gaps in learning and deliver targeted teaching and interventions
- Use assessment information to monitor progress and adapt teaching
- Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND
- Work collaboratively with the Year 6 team and senior leadership
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and pupil progress
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Strong previous Year 6 teaching experience is highly desirable
- Excellent understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs expectations
- Confident delivering high-quality English and Maths lessons
- Experience preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments
- Strong classroom management and assessment skills
- Ability to quickly establish positive relationships and contribute from day one
- A proactive, adaptable and committed approach
- Established mainstream primary academy in Coventry, CV2

As part of the school's selection process, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete:
- Lesson Observation: Deliver a lesson to demonstrate teaching ability, classroom management and pupil engagement
- Short Interview: Discuss previous Year 6 experience, curriculum knowledge and suitability for the role
- Long-term teaching opportunity until Easter 2027
- No day-to-day supply
- Dedicated consultant support throughout the placement
