We are seeking a fourth female Personal Assistants (PAs) to join a small, supportive team working with a happy, relaxed, and good-humoured transgender woman. The aim of this role is to support her to remain independent in her own home while living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Any work or life experience of MND would be an advantage. She has a lifelong enjoyment of playing musical instruments and a strong interest in a wide range of music, as well as an appreciation of nature and the beach. While not essential, it would be beneficial to find someone with similar interests to help establish common ground.

Initially, the role will involve support with practical tasks around the home and attending medical appointments, therefor applicants who are drivers with access to their own vehicle are preferred, although this is not essential .

As a positive, trusting relationship develops, the role will gradually include more personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing. Meal preparation, medication administration, and potentially healthcare-related tasks may also become part of this valued role, with hours increasing over time.
